it i could talk with you
i would want to know
is it ok to be spiritual and not religious
do you meet G-d when you die?
does it all depend on if you were close to G-d during your life?
did you enjoy being a Rabbi?
why did you die young?
did you like living in Minneapolis?
i hear that you were very loved by people of all faiths there
and that you have a school, a Talmud Torah named for you
i hope to go there one day and see the plaque
so i know that i love you
even though my mom did not get to meet you
you feel like your history, energy and love
are in my genes.
and maybe that is so
my ancestor
my hero
my great grandpa
your picture sits on our piano
in the dining room
and you are thought of very often
and loved
from afar
or maybe
you are right next to me
when i think of you
we don't know how souls and spirit work
love is the glue of life
i think
i feel that i might be right
